togqn verses togpub

Ok, so this minor bug has existed for quite a while and I'm a little surprised the wording hasn't been updated long ago. When public quicknotes are enabled, the line below the submit button reads: "Type /togqn and press send to switch to receiving only private quicknotes." As we all know, /togqn toggles all quicknotes off at which point the user can not receive private quicknotes. Shouldn't the line say something like Type /togpub and press send to switch to receiving only private quicknotes or type /togqn to block all quicknotes. I saw a user get a bit frustrated with this yesterday and they ended up blocking all quicknotes when this was not their intention. Is their a reason this has not been updated?
Thank you.
Jim

This has been brought to the attention of the admins, and J says he is working on it now. He says the QN system has a few bugs in it that he is planning to fix. I believe you can also use the /togpriv command to change your QN settings.

Just to clarify and for anyone who is unsure, /togpriv will block any private quicknotes tent directly to you. You will, however, still be able to send/receive public quicknotes. So basically, this command does the opposite function to /togpub

It's very confusing. There's a list of what all of these commands do in the help file, which you can access by typing "/help" or "/?" in the QN form field, minus the quotes, of course.

And just to confuse things even more, the /togpriv command doesn't seem to work properly; well, at least it didn't a few weeks ago during the quicknotes quiz. Whether this was fixed as part of last Sunday's birthday celebrations, i'm not sure; perhaps someone can test it and post here if it's working?

I just tried it. It worked fine for me. Try it again the next time you log in. Some times certain commands seem to be temperarily out of order.
